Redefine the concept of jewelry in Uruguay with true pieces of contemporary art made of leather
I am a dentist by profession and I dedicated myself to that for twenty years; But something that very few people know is that dentistry is just a step away from jewelry. Everything that has to do with metal and gold dental castings includes manual processes which share a lot with the techniques used in jewelry. But, also, I was always very interested in art: I did 10 years of ceramics and 15 years of oil painting.
This is why in 2022 the search arose for a new form of expression that represented what I am and what I like: doing something manual that is combined with art.
I began carrying out tests with other types of materials such as ropes, with results that to this day I do not rule out; but I understood that I had to continue exploring even more in the field of accessories.

Understanding that raw materials, techniques and precision are the keys to making leather jewelry.
This is how a friend, who also works with leather, gives me several discards so that I can start experimenting with the material and see what happens. After several tests, and a lot of trial and error, the pieces that you can find today at Lis Joyas began to emerge.

Each piece is an expression of art and style, understanding that raw materials, techniques and precision are the keys to making leather jewelry. From rings and bracelets with unique designs, to necklaces that combine art, design and fashion, all accessories are carefully made, resulting in unique and limited edition pieces.
Additionally, the brand prides itself on its commitment to circular fashion, as a significant portion of its pieces are made using scraps of leather that would otherwise be discarded.
